How we handle your data

This notice explains how the Sri Lanka Scout Association processes personal data collected through the Flood Relief Donation Portal. We align with Sri Lanka’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and only collect what is necessary to process your contribution.

Data we collect

Full name
Email address (for receipts and confirmations)
Phone number (optional)
Campaign selected and donation amount
Donation amount and message
Payment gateway references (no card numbers or CVV are ever stored)

Purpose

We process your data to handle the donation, issue receipts, meet accounting and audit requirements, and provide donor support. Data is not sold or shared for marketing.

Retention

Donation records and receipts are retained for statutory accounting and audit periods. Access is restricted to authorised staff only.

Your rights

You may request correction of inaccurate data or, where legally possible, request deletion. Some records must be retained to comply with finance and audit obligations.
